Firing Weapons
Left 4 Dead 2 Beta's weapon variety was an exact replication of the previous game, however, with new weapon model replacements. Despite how "new" weapons were included in the E3 demo, they actually functioned no different than their predecessors' counterpart, including all their statistics and animations alike.

Pistols
Pistols in Left 4 Dead 2 take a more traditional turn away from the predecessor's 1911 Colts and migrate to the P220s. The pistol with the flashlight attachment has a whiter texture, whereas the adjacent pistol still remains the same, even in the final release. The white texture would be forever changed after the PAX Demo. Ammunition for the pistols remains the same.

Silenced SMG
Chrome Shotgun
The Silenced SMG was a replacement for Left 4 Dead 1's traditional MAC-11 SMG. Even though a silencer is located on this weapon, the accuracy of this weapon was not adjusted until Valve finalized the port of all Left 4 Dead 1 Weapons. This includes ammunition count and damage ratios. The E3 demo has jiggle-bone physics on this SMG's strap located at the front of the weapon, completely removed once weapon animations were changed after the PAX demo.
The Chrome Shotgun was the Pump Shotgun's replacement during the E3 Demo, with the same shell count and damage spread as its Left 4 Dead 1 counterpart. Compared to the final release, The E3 Demo has a much brighter and shiner texture for this weapon. Left 4 Dead 1 Shotgun scripts were present, as this weapon was given two different reload animations They would activate depending on how much ammunition remain.

SCAR (Desert)
The SCAR replaced Left 4 Dead 1's M16 Assault Rifle and utilized the exact same damage ratio, fire rate, and ammunition count. In the final release, the SCAR was adjusted to perform a 3-round burst attack with much higher accuracy., therefore balancing the weapon amongst the rest of the automatic weapon arsenal. The previous Left 4 Dead 1 animations for this weapon also present a flashlight "wire", which cannot be seen in the retail animation.

SPAS-12 (Combat) Shotgun
The SPAS-12 Shotgun was the Auto-Shotgun's replacement during the E3 Demo, with the same shell count and damage spread as its Left 4 Dead 1 counterpart. Compared to the final release, The E3 demo has jiggle-bone physics on the folding stock located at the top of the weapon, completely removed once weapon animations were changed after the PAX demo. Left 4 Dead 1 Shotgun scripts were present, as this weapon was given two different reload animations They would activate depending on how much ammunition remain.

Military Sniper Rifle
Left 4 Dead 2 E3 Demo utilized the Military Sniper Rifle as the Hunting Rifle's replacement weapon. It utilized the same ammunition count and damage ratios. The previous Left 4 Dead 1 animations show a much larger point of view for the weapon as opposed to the final release. Sound effects for this weapon were also slightly different as opposed to the final product.
